Award-winning Ghanaian Highlife artiste Bisa Kdei has disagreed with some industry stakeholders that Ghana music industry is ruled by only three musicians namely Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy.
The ‘Brother Brother’ hitmaker debunked notions that the music will collapse without the existence of the aforementioned names.
In a conversation with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central, Bisa Kdei said;
” I have not heard anyone make such a suggestion but what I would say is that it is not possible.
“Everyone has got the genre of music that they’re doing and right now in Ghana, we’ve got a lot of artistes doing different types of genres.
“I’m sure that opinion can’t be factual because we have a lot of Ghanaian artistes who are doing marvellous works out there.
“The fact that some artistes are good in making noise about their works doesn’t mean the rest are not up to the task or are asleep as the person sought to suggest”.
His reaction comes after a Ghanaian music executive and artist manager George Britton stated that the Ghana music industry relies on Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale to thrive.
